- 37 per cent were on 500 Mbps or above, up from 4 per cent.
- Average monthly downloads reached 574 GB per premises, up 13 per cent. FTTP services averaged 687 GB.
- High-speed business connections rose from 33,000 to 144,000.
The money
Capital expenditure was $3 billion, including $1.6 billion on fibre upgrades. Operating expenses fell 3 per cent to $1.57 billion, and free cash flow before financing rose 51 per cent to $1.16 billion. Net debt was $27.5 billion.
What it means
The jump in the 500 Mbps group largely reflects speed changes on existing tiers from September 2025, so it does not simply show people choosing to buy faster plans. Rising average revenue per user is the figure consumer groups and regulators will keep watching.
